To begin with, Madeira is a beautiful volcanic island jutting out of the Atlantic ocean from a mountain range. Along the road through Madeira, there are large villages, sleepy hamlets encased in an abundance of wild flowers of every color you can think such as english roses, asiatic orchids and with the abundance of fruits from all continents, makes Madeira a natural botanical garden. The beautiful beaches and clear blue to green ocean water make this floating garden a true paradise, which is only 35 miles long and 13 miles wide.

By staying at the Royal Savoy in Madeira, not only will you have access to the beauty of the island, you will also have access to the other island of Porto Santo or the uninhabited islands of Desertas or Selvagens. If that is not enough to make you want to jump on the first plane and fly, fast as you can to this paradise island, maybe the fact that they have been in business since the early 1900’s. From humble beginnings as a family owned business, the “Royal Hotel” grew by leaps and bounds and by 1914 it was known as the Hotel Savoy and boasted an increasing demand for their unique atmosphere and amazing facilities.
