Burnside Park Owners Club - Review

Located in the beautiful, peaceful and quiet woods of The Lake District, only a 300 meter walk from both the Bowness Village and the shoreline of Windermere Lake and on the Bowness Bay is the Burnside Park Owners Club. This beautiful resort consist of 46 luxurious, cottages and apartments that are self catering. Having been in business for over twenty years, Burnside Park comes with the highest quality cottages and apartments available and an English Tourism 4 star quality in Tourism award as well as an RCI Gold Crown rating meaning that they achieve the highest standards in maintenance and housekeeping.

By owning a timeshare at Burnside Park, you can have your own Cottage or apartment from Saturday to Saturday. But, if you are only able to take a short two or three day break, Burnside Park, in the quieter times of the year is able to offer short breaks but you should contact them first for availabilities. The Lake district is considered the largest national park in England and a place where you will find the most beautiful, pristine beaches, charming villages and crystal clear lakes; it has also been recently named “Heaven on Earth” by Time Magazine and once you have been there, you will know that it definitely lives up to that name.

Accommodations

You will find one bedroom cottages that sleep up to four, two bedroom cottages that sleep up to six both of which offer a high standard of self catering. All units come equipped with a full kitchen, DVD, TV’s, VHS players, towels and bedding and sound system. You will also have access to the on-site Parklands Country Club where all guest have free access to swimming pools, a gym, sauna, beauty treatment salon, solarium and steam room. The Parklands Country Club also offers a children’s area, Jacuzzi, jet showers, badminton or squash courts, two full size snooker tables and a Club lounge and bar.

Activities and Facilities

The Lake District has been called a place of beautiful landscapes and pure tranquillity with activities that cannot be rivalled anywhere in England. You will have so many things to see and do, you will need a vacation from the vacation! Some of these must see things include summertime water sports at the lake like boating, swimming and kayaking. Hiking is another activity in the astounding natural beauty that one can only experience by getting out and going for a walk because unlike other parts of England, the Lake district has the perfect combination of mountains, forest and lakes.

Since Burnside Park is only a short five minute walk from the center of Bowness-on-Windermere, you can easily find first class service at the many excellent restaurants, pubs, galleries, cinemas, shops and you can also take a sightseeing tour. The children have not been left out either as they have their own play area within the confines of the resort grounds.
